I'm back.
I ran into some mechanical problems that necessitated my early return for repairs.
What gets me is the repairs are all related to major work I had done on my truck in December (which is the reason I was home all of December). I spent around $18,000 getting the engine overhauled and other major components repaired or replaced. Instead of taking it to a backstreet shop which might have been cheaper I took it to a "namebrand" shop where I was hoping to get decent workmanship.
At least most of the work is covered by a 200,000 mile, 2 year warranty, but that does not cover lost productivity. My checking account is starting to look pretty meager.
